NXT: Cora Jade challenged Raquel Gonzalez

We continue to ride the wave of women's matches with the next match involving an athlete with excellent prospects. SINGLES MATCH: Sarray vs Kayla Inlay; Meeting that has little to tell and that sees the Japanese come out the winner without too much difficulty.

Result: victory for Sarray's deployment. Raquel Gonzalez had the early advantage and tossed Cora Jade around the ring before getting a near fall. Jade was getting pummeled in the corner and tried for a crossbody but got caught and hit with a big slam.

Jade still took a beating before catching Raquel in a submission hold. Jade came back with a rollup before getting some big hooks and a hurricanrana off the ropes. Jade got caught in the Chingona Bomb before Gonzalez got the win.

Cora Jade vs. Raquel Gonzalez

After the match, Raquel Gonzalez came back and shook Cora Jade's hand before finally agreeing to team up for the Women's Dusty Cup. Let's now move on to a commercial that sees NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, his faithful assistant Trick Williams and challenger Cameron Grimes engaged.

The two are preparing the ground for the titled challenge that we remember will take place in two weeks in Vengeance. WWE NXT Champion Raquel Gonzalez is the top wrestler in NXT Women’s division. She worked her way up and earned the moniker of “Big Mami Cool”.

This is similar to Kevin Nash’s nickname of “Big Daddy Cool” back in the day. Although Raquel hasn’t met Nash as of yet, she did meet the Boss Man, Vince McMahon. McMahon had gone above and beyond for WWE and is showing no signs of stopping.

The wrestlers in and out of the company have immense respect for McMahon. This is what happens when you give opportunities to deserving candidates. WWE NXT is highly ranked among the fans, with some even arguing it’s better than the main roster.

Blumhouse, owned by Jason Blum, will develop the series for television. It is led by Chris McCumber, the Blumhouse TV President. The series is a first in WWE history as well. It will be the first-ever scripted dramatic portrayal of a chapter of WWE, as well as, the first scripted portrayal of McMahon.

Raquel Gonzalez and Io Shirai fought in an exciting contest for the NXT Women’s Championship in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver. After winning the championship following a devastating clothesline and a one-arm Powerbomb, ‘Big Mami Cool’ was ecstatic! Her happiness and laughter turned into tears of joy as she made her way to the back.
