Nxt TAG TITLES MATCH: Imperium vs MSK; The technique of both teams gives us a noteworthy match. The Imperium tries to impose its supremacy from the beginning of the match with the MSK who can not help but respond with their speed.
After a splendid combination, MSK also attempt the pinfall which however does not go beyond the 2 count. Blake is definitely on fire and repeatedly puts his opponents in serious difficulty. The dispute is definitely heated and foments even more with the entry of the Creed Brothers who decide to put an early end to the match and begin to hit virtually everyone in the ring.
The referee cannot help but interrupt the match. Result: no contest with Barthel and Aichner who still maintain the NXT Tag Team Championships. MSK had control early on after Marcel Barthel and Nash Carter kicked off the match.
Carter got a big top rope Frankenstiener before tagging Lee in. Wes Lee took a slam from Fabian Aichner before being isolated in the ring.
MSK seemed in control
Wes Lee and Nash Carter are a valuable addition to the NXT tag team division.
Teams like the Undisputed Era and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch have held the division on their backs, and it’s time for them to move on. In the Dusty Classic, teams like Grizzled Young Veterans and Imperium are also taking part.
These teams are likely to put on insane matches against MSK, given how talented Wes and Nash are. They were a regular attraction in Impact and PWG, making them one of the most sought after teams in North America. Wes Lee and Nash Carter faced off against Isiah Scott and Jake Atlas in the first round of the Dusty Classic.
This match served a much greater purpose than just the debut for MSK. It also served as a way of taking the Isiah Scott-Jake Atlas storyline forward. Swerve has been teasing a heel turn for some time, and Atlas is the perfect foil for him.
Carter got the tag and came in with the dropkick for a near fall before Lee came back in off the tag and hit a huge moonsault. The match was still underway when the Creed Brothers rushed the ring and broke it up by taking out both teams.
Post-match the Creed Brothers throw everyone out of the ring remaining the only ones in the center of the ring thus sending the clear message that the couple titles belong to them. We have therefore reached the last match of the evening which sees the new generation clash with the old.
This is not just about NXT's top laurel but also about territorial supremacy considering that one of the title challengers comes from Raw.
