NXT: Solo Sikoa won again

Hello everyone and welcome back to the usual NXT 2.0 appointment. The first match of the evening sees up for grabs a place in the Stand and Deliver ladder match in which Carmelo Hayes will defend his NXT North American Championship.

SINGLES MATCH: Solo Sikoa vs Roderick Strong; high-intensity match that sees a Strong try to use all his experience to bring home the victory. Roderick also attempts a pin after a painful backbreaker. Sikoa is not there and then tries to answer but Strong does not give up and arrives again groped for the pin.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams joined commentary for the first match of the night. Solo Sikoa took on Roderick Strong in the WWE NXT North American Championship match qualifier.

Solo Sikoa won

Solo Sikoa hit a Uso Splash to finish off Strong and pick up the win.

It was an outstanding match for Sikoa. He is growing as a top competitor on the brand. However, it was surprising to watch The Messiah of the Backbreaker pick up another clean loss. Sikoa does not give up and after a Samoan drop complete with a pinch attempt she climbs to the top of the pole from which she engages in a splash which is followed by the definitive pinfall.

Result: Solo Sikoa's pinch victory, who then wins a place in the Stand and Deliver ladder match valid for the NXT North American Championship. The next match sees an athlete who has been out of the scene for a long time come back to fight.

Soon after, the opening match was underway with Sikoa in control early on. Roderick Strong got a near fall off a backbreaker before stomping on Sikoa's feet. Roddy hit some big knees to the head before getting a near fall on the upstart.

Santos Escobar showed up at ringside as Solo reversed a suplex off the distraction before hitting a Samoan Drop for a near fall of his own. Finally, Solo Sikoa used the Samoan Family special, the Samoan Drop, on La Knight. On the other hand, he drop-kicked Grayson Waller.

Sikoa ended the fight with a splash to Knight. It is a good time to note that The Uso Splash is a huge thing between Jey and Jimmy Uso, who are Sikao’s older siblings. Defeating Waller and Knight in a triple threat match is a classic Roman Reigns move.

The Tribal Chief defeated Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt at Payback 2020 to win the Universal Championship. Next, he defeated Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) and Edge at WrestleMania 37 with a double pin.
