Unfortunately, the WWE requires its wrestler to perform every week since they are the largest wrestling promotion of the world. Tommaso Ciampa is a famous NXT wrestler and is the current NXT Champion. WWE announced that he will require neck surgery.
Neck injuries are one of the worst types of injuries! A doctor cannot allow a wrestler to compete with a bad neck. A blow to an already damaged neck can result in paralysis. Ciampa will be out for at least half a year. According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Radio, Ciampa may be out for 14 months. Ciampa will most likely vacate the NXT title next week as he will not be able to defend it.
