Hello everyone and welcome back to the usual NXT 2.0 appointment. The evening gets off to a flying start with the first match involving the NXT Tag Team Champions. 6-MAN TAG MATCH: IMPERIUM vs La Knight & MSK; the clash starts even before the sound of the bell with the Imperium being attacked on the access ramp.
When they come to the ring, the match finally begins with the two teams that literally give each other a good reason and with the team made up of Knight and MSK that seems to have clearly the better.
MSK did not shine
LA Knight and MSK isolated Fabian Aichner early on, but once Marcel Barthel and Gunther came in, Knight was the one taking a beating.
Aichner was back in and Knight got the tag off a counter before MSK cleared the ring with superkicks before hitting a dive on Gunther to the outside. With difficulty, the Imperium takes over the reins of the match. However, the situation does not last long because the MSK manage to knock out their opponents by taking the reins of the match back into their hands.
LA Knight now focuses on Barthel coming one step away from the pin after an elbow drop. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner tried to weaken Knight as Gunther watched on. The two teams kept the action going before Gunther tripped Nash Carter on the apron.
The Million Dollar Superstar went after him, and the two men fought their way to the back. In the ring, Imperium kept control and took out Wes Lee with a tag team maneuver to pick up the win. After the match, The Creed Brothers came out to have a face-off with their opponents for Stand & Deliver.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is underway, and WWE NXT has just witnessed its first big debut of the year. Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier are no more the Rascalz, but MSK. They have also been rechristened as Wes Lee and Nash Carter and made their NXT debut against Isiah Scott and Jake Atlas.
In the Dusty Classic, teams like Grizzled Young Veterans and Imperium are also taking part. These teams are likely to put on insane matches against MSK, given how talented Wes and Nash are. They were a regular attraction in Impact and PWG, making them one of the most sought after teams in North America.
Wes Lee and Nash Carter faced off against Isiah Scott and Jake Atlas in the first round of the Dusty Classic. This match served a much greater purpose than just the debut for MSK. It also served as a way of taking the Isiah Scott-Jake Atlas storyline forward. Swerve has been teasing a heel turn for some time, and Atlas is the perfect foil for him.
