NXT: Legado del Fantasma surprised the crowd

Let's continue now with the match that sees the leader of the Legado Del Fantasma engaged. SINGLES MATCH: Santos Escobar vs Carmelo Hayes; It goes without saying that we are witnessing an excellent match thanks also to the technical skills of both athletes with Hayes who is also helped by Trick Williams.

Escobar seems to be in serious trouble against a Carmelo who has only one goal which is none other than to earn again the chance to aim for the North American Championship. Escobar on the other hand does not want to give up and manages to take the reins of the match in his hand after a splendid suicide dive.

Williams manages to distract the referee so Hayes can catch his breath. Legado del Fantasma had control early on and hit a double-team move on James Drake before Zack Gibson was tagged in. Drake blocked the superplex but took a Rana from the top as the match went on.

Legado del Fantasma vs. The Grizzled Young

There was another moment within the match that left the audience speechless. Jake Atlas took out the entire Legado del Fantasma on his own. He stood on the ropes before taking out everyone with a massive leap of faith.

However, the troubles for Escobar are not over as he is attacked by two shady well-dressed figures before being sent back to the ring where he is shot down with the avalanche leg drop by Carmelo Hayes. Result: Carmelo Hayes pinch win.

Now it's time for an all-female match. Atlas signed with WWE in 2018. He appeared on Celebrity Undercover Boss alongside Stephanie McMahon and received a lump-sum amount of $25,000 as a down payment, hired to play the role of WWE’s ambassador.

His official WWE tryout was back in December 2018. Tyler Breeze and Fandango became the No.1 contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships on the NXT Takeover: XXX Pre-Show after defeating Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch and Legado del Fantasma in a triple threat match.

Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner won the titles on the May 13 edition of NXT this year. NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai & Rhea Ripley will square off against Dakota Kai & Raquel González.

After retaining her title against Kai, Raquel González attacked the champion while Rhea Ripley came down to make the save. That’s what laid the context for this week’s match-up. The North American Champion Damien Priest will also make an appearance on the show.
