Now it's time for the second match valid for the Women’s Breakout Tournament. WBT SINGLES MATCH: Nikkita Lyons vs Arianna Grace; Grace, who we remember being the daughter of Santino Marella with respect to whom she fights much better (not that she wanted much), manages to keep up with her opponent by skillfully working her joints.
Sloane Jacobs had the early advantage and got a headlock in before Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen came out to support Fallon Henley. Their entrance distracted Jacobs, letting Henley get the upper hand with a dropkick and a clothesline.
Fallon Henley def. Sloane Jacobs
The women took each other down in the ring before Sloane Jacobs got a hurricanrana and a near fall. Sloane Jacobs lifted Fallon Henley but the latter managed to break out and hit the shining wizard for the win.
Not happy Arianna even tries a submission maneuver from which Nikkita manages to free herself and then throws the opponent violently against the stake and then hits the mark with a German suplez followed by a kick in her face and finally by her now known Splitting.
Result: Nikkita Lyons pinned to the next round of the tournament. So here we are at the last match of the evening featuring a WWE veteran and a young girl of high hopes. WWE NXT 2.0 is heading towards Halloween Havoc next week.
While Toxic Attraction’s leader, Mandy Rose will be challenging Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Championship, Jayne and Dolin will be eyeing the Women’s Tag Team Championships. This week, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, Io Shirai wrestled Persia Pirotta and Jacy Jayne in a Triple Threat Match.
The triple threat match started with Io Shirai and Jacy Jayne taking on Persia. However, Persia Pirotta countered both Jayne and Shirai simultaneously. Later, Jayne got knocked out of the ring while Shirai continued her attack on the new NXT Superstar.
Later, Io sent Persia to the outside as well. This is where things started to get messy. He spoke particularly about Ripley’s reign as the NXT Women’s Championship, how about how her losing the title to Charlotte Flair was perhaps the best thing that could’ve happened to her.
Ripley entered NXT with a bang. She immediately started to rise up the ranks, as she was seen as a hard worker and an extremely talented performer. Within a few months of her ascent, she started a feud with Shayna Baszler. She managed to win the NXT Women’s Championship from Shayna, securing her place as one of the top superstars in NXT.
