MAIN EVENT-SINGLES MATCH: Santos Escobar vs Tony D'Angelo. We are offered a very pleasant match thanks above all to the skills of both athletes. Tony manages to stop a suicide dive even before Santos leaves the ring. The Italian-American is in full control of the dispute and also demonstrates it with a haughty attitude.
Escobar, however, does not let himself be intimidated and with two dropkicks he chases him out of the ring. Santos tries again the suicide dive which this time is successful. Back in the ring, Santos continues to control the fight even going close to victory after an armbreaker.
Escobar then tries to subdue his opponent who in response knocks him down with a series of outstretched arms followed by 2 belly to belly slam. D'Angelo tries to put an end to the dispute by going to retrieve his crowbar which, however, apparently was promptly stolen by the Legado Del Fantasma which then reveals itself at ringside.
De Tor and Wilde are then attacked by D'Angelo's henchmen causing a fight that actually distracts the referee. After extending his hand to Bron Breakker last week to join his movement, Joe Gacy was at it again in his maniacal ways.
Though the NXT Champion refused to join his crusade, Gacy had other ideas in mind for an upcoming championship match at In Your House.
Joe Gacy challenged Bron Breakker
Joe Gacy showed up and talked about his upcoming match with Bron Breakker before laughing like a maniac as NXT went off the air.
Escobar then took the opportunity to hit D'Angelo with a brass knuckle. Result: Santos Escobar's pinfall victory. Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, ‘The Wooooo Nation‘, Flair confessed that there is a long way for Bron Breakker to go, but he is showing signs of becoming a one-of-a-kind wrestler.
“If I was Vince [McMahon] I’d be really hands-on with him because he could be a big star,” said Flair. Bron Breakker is the son of legendary tag team expert Rick Steiner, who was notoriously known for his hard-hitting jabs inside the ring. Living up to the expectations of his father, Flair believes in the young wrestler.
