There are a number of highly talented wrestlers in the world, and some of them work outside of the WWE. Outside of the WWE, a number of famous indie wrestling promotions exist. The problem is that most indie promotions cannot pay their wrestlers as well as the WWE can.
The WWE can pay its wrestlers really well and the WWE generates millions of dollars every year through its wrestlers. Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the most popular foreign wrestlers in the WWE. He has worked for the company for a long time and was thrilled about the WWE signing KUSHIDA.
KUSHIDA for a long time has worked in Japan and this will be his first time in the WWE. He spoke about KUSHIDA with Scott Fishman at WrestleMania Axxess. "KUSHIDA joined NXT, that's huge for WWE and American wrestling history," Nakamura said.
"Experienced wrestlers around the world have options to where they wrestle and he chooses WWE / NXT. That's kind of big for [WWE] and him." KUSHIDA is a Junior Heavyweight! The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title was won by him six times.
He also won the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles twice. Nakamura was asked whether the KUSHIDA signing will prompt other Japanese wrestlers to join the WWE. "I don't know," Nakamura said with a smile. "[There are] so many options.
WWE has history, that's the difference. Also, New Japan and CMLL have history. So, we want to wrestle for legacy."
