LA Knight has huge goals

If at NXT he was considered a talent ready to break through even in the Main Roster, Booking's choice for LA Knight complicated things, first by changing his name to Max Duprì and then giving him a gimmick that had little success among the fans.

However, now WWE has decided to change the name back to LA Knight, also giving him the character that the 40-year-old from Maryland had in NXT.

Update on LA Knight's status

During an interview with USA Insider's Ehan Absler, LA Knight opened up about her work with Bray Wyatt, sharing details on how she's preparing for this challenge: “Working with Wyatt is a unique challenge in the sense that you have two diametrically opposed personalities.

. You have two very different approaches to what we do and in a strange way, it almost brings together a beautiful symphony, so to speak, just because of the contrasting way we do things. At the same time, these contrasting pieces can blend together into something that is quite creatively satisfying and so far so good.

I think it's pretty clear who attacked me. Look at all the little Fiend symbols and masks and that sort of thing. As far as I know, this seems to be all along his lines. It seems to fit his money order." After that he talked about his goals in WWE, which is to be the star of the federation: “Oh man, I mean, look.

I've never been in this business to be a background, second line guy. I've never been to this just to be happy to be here. For me, legit, I'm sitting here in my office right now looking at my past successes. I'm looking at past titles that are framed on my wall and my eyes are on the top awards.

My eyes somewhere along the way are looking at the Intercontinental Championship, the United States Championship, and beyond that, I'm looking at the Universal Championship, WWE Championship and stuff like that. Now, how and when we get there, we'll see.

But this is my future goal almost individually and like a laser". Pro wrestling veteran Jim Cornette has shared his thoughts on Max Dupri reverting to his old gimmick of LA Knight and parting ways with Maximum Male Models. "They're correcting mistakes, and the thing about LA Knight is, I like the fact that they've realized that they committed a crime against nature.

Changing his name to Max Dupri, the whole [Maximum] Male Models thing, the Ma.çé and Mån.sôör - and by the way, those guys have to be so embarrassed. They're going out on TV looking like that doing that s***.

I bet you they don't leave the house when they're home, they're afraid their neighbors will see 'em," said Cornette.
