Mandy Rose is well-known for being one of the longest reigning WWE NXT Women’s Champion of all time, and she recently spoke about staying with an NXT star when she was released by the WWE. She held the WWE NXT Women’s title for more than 400 days and was released immediately after she lost it.
She dropped the title to Roxanne Perez and she stated during interviews that she was quite shocked when she was released by the WWE.
Mandy Rose Reveals That She Was with Indi Hartwell's House When She Was Released
Rose recently appeared on Sessions with Renee Paquette to speak about losing the title and being released by the WWE.
She stated that she was caught completely off guard when she was told that she would drop the title. She also stated that she kind of felt it that she will be released by the WWE. "I was making jokes about it the night before," Rose said.
"I was literally making jokes about it. And the girls were even like, 'Oh my god, stop. You're crazy.' I'm like, 'No. It's not crazy.' " Rose shared the story in great detail. She stated that she got a call from the WWE at 11 in the morning.
She was actually staying at another NXT star’s house when she got the call from the WWE and was told that she was released. "I was actually staying at Indi Hartwell's house," Rose said. "I stay there sometimes, we became really close.
She was upstairs getting ready for TV because we had to do a double taping that day. That's why I stayed. I was like 'Indi, I just got fired.' She's all the way upstairs. She was like 'What? Shut the f**k up. No way.' And I was like 'No, I'm serious.'
" Rose stated that it was extremely difficult to her to process all of this, when she first heard the news. However, she actually admitted that she didn’t know what to do when it actually happened. "At first, you kind of laugh a little bit, because you don't know whether you want to laugh or cry," Rose said.
"It was like a gut punch. But then I was like 'Okay. Well, now I need to really think about this and handle this.' " We do not know what the future holds for Mandy Rose. There is a chance that she might join an indie wrestling promotion, or the Aew. She might also take a break from wrestling.
