It is no new news that WWE is always seeking to sign new wrestlers for its promotion. The newest wrestler who is on their list is Walter, according to a Wrestler Observer Newsletter report. WWE has been seeking to sign the Indie wrestler for a long time this year although the 31-year-old has not been inclined to sign a contract because of the lengthy time he would have to spend away from his native, Austria.
Walter is currently signed to the German promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) for which he made his debut nearly 11 years ago, in 2007 and where he also works as a head trainer. However, the WWE is not prepared to let go of Walter after having acknowledged his potential.
As such, the WWE is contemplating making a deal with their UK affiliation instead of the WWE/NXT contract which was what was on the cards initially had Walter accepted the contract. If Walter were to accept, Walter could be able to fulfil his responsibilities with wXw and all other Indie-based wrestling promotions across the European region.
In addition to wXw, Walter is also a part of the Progress Wrestling promotion where he is the reigning Progress World Champion. Likewise, he is also the reigning PWG World Champion in the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla promotion.
