Women these days are getting super popular. They are able to deliver high quality matches and the most popular wrestlers in the world are female wrestlers at the moment. This all started after the women’s revolution. The Women’s Evolution started in the WWE.
Women are now taken very seriously and are considered for main events. WWE now has special events that consist only of female wrestlers. The WWE “Worlds Collide: Women Collide” special event took place a while back.
In the event, which was part of the WWE Network, WWE UK Women’s Champion, Toni Storm, was in action. She defended her title against Bianca Belair and Nikki Cross. She was successful in retaining her title at that event.
She spoke about her victory in a post-match backstage video and stated that she channeled her inner Motley Crue. "You know, I came here with the weight of the world on my shoulders. I got in there with, oh ya know, just Nikki Cross and Bianca Belair, some of the top women in the entire world.
So yeah, it was a hard shift but I got it through, and I'm representing NXT UK as best as I can, because I love this brand and I'm gonna be champ for a long time, because I'm hot, young, running free, and a little better than I used to be," Storm said.
