Quite recently, Rhea Ripley used a homophobic slur and quickly apologized for using it. Rhea Ripley is a NXT UK Superstar and is one of the most popular female talents there. She apologized on Twitter for using the slur. Rhea Ripley was with other NXT Superstars last night and they were gaming.
Ripley received a $15 tip and the viewer asked Ripley to insult him/her. Any fan that pays $15 was free to ask to be insulted in either Spanish or Australian. $20 tip would get you a compliment in either Spanish or Australian.
Ripley insulted the view by saying, "stupid motherf--king f-ggot." This little phrase is considered homophobic in most parts of the world. Ripley wrote the following on her Twitter account after this incident: "Demi Bennett speaking here: I know a lot of you are upset with me after tonight, but I just wanted to publically say that I am sorry.
My brain to mouth filter came down for a second and I forgot that some words are a big no no to a lot of people. I am a firm believer that everyone should be treated equally, whether that be race or orientation. With that said, I just wanted to say how dearly sorry I am to everyone that was offended by my choice of words tonight," Ripley wrote in her Twitter apology.
