In the second edition of WWE Great American Bash of NXT, there was another betrayal that left fans open mouth, with a trio that had returned to make fans dream thanks to the twinning between NXT and TNA, which unfortunately broke down in the worst way. During the evening, in fact, was scheduled the title match valid for the NXT pair belts, with the champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom who were expected in a contest against Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz. In an action-packed match, where for several moments the challengers risked winning the titles, in the end it was the then champions who won, with the defeat that apparently did not go down to Wes Lee. After the match, in fact, Wes Lee attacked his teammates of the Rascalz, hitting them several times and then sending them out of the ring, where Wes threw them against the barricades and against the entrance stairs to the ring, shouting repeatedly "you left me alone".
Over the last while NXT has been churning out episodes increasingly full of surprises and exciting twists and turns, with appearances from TNA, title changes, resounding turn heels and unexpected bouts that WWE Universe fans never imagined they would see.
NXT helps young talents
Even tonight, there were as many as two twists and turns that the NXT Universe probably wasn't ready to see yet and saw two title changes come in the same night. After seeing Charlie Dempsey go on to snatch the Heritage Cup from Tony D'Angelo, in the main event we instead saw the Chase U stable go on to win the NXT tag team titles over the now former champions: Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
In an action-packed match, in fact, the pair formed by Andre Chase and Ridge Holland, wrested the belts from the old champions, with a final dart by Holland himself that allowed his stable to get to the titles they have been coveting for months now.
At a time when it looked as if the champions might hold the belts firmly at their sides, Andre Chase managed to knock Frazer out of the ring, leaving it to Holland to hit a somewhat dazed Axiom with his finisher, with the move being decisive, allowing a clean victory for the new champions.
