Titus O'Neil on new book, mother's traumatic experiences

Titus O’Neil is a well-known name in the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) promotion. The 42-year-old who has been with WWE since 2009, recently had a book published. The book is called, There’s No Such Thing as a Bad Kid: How I Went from Stereotype to Prototype.

While containing a lot of personal anecdotes, the book also includes some hard-to-bear incidents, involving deaths and his mother’s sexual abuse as a pre-teen. Sharing that these things were quite difficult to write, O’Neil said, “I've shared my story about my mom being sexually assaulted at 11 and having me at 12.

With the WWE Network and YouTube, she did a 'My Son's a WWE Superstar Now.' It was an eye-opening experience for me because it was my first time seeing my mom sit down and open up about what happened to her”.

O’Neil also said that his mother’s experiences spurred him to write another book with his mother. “So, for my next book, I (want to) write it in conjunction with my mother,” he shared. The Florida native and resident currently wrestles as part of the RAW promotion.

Prior to taking up wrestling, O’Neil, whose real name is Thaddeus Bullard played college football for his alma mater, the University of Florida.
