Title Match for USA Network's NXT Announced

The WWE NXT North American Title will be defended on the USA Network premiere episode. According to the schedule, it will take place on the 18th of September. Roderick Strong will challenge the current champion, The Velveteen Dream during that episode.

Dream recently won a triple treat match at NXT Takeover: Toronto 2019. Strong and Pete Dunne were the other wrestlers in that match. He retained his title that night. The Dream vs. Strong match was announced right after Dream defeated Kona Reeves in a non-title match this week on NXT.

This week’s episode was taped. Strong set fire to Dream’s Purple couch. The episode ended with dream looking at his couch on fire. Io Shirai vs. Mia Yim vs. Bianca Belair will also be taking place on the USA Network premiere episode.

The winner of that match will earn a title shot and will be able to challenge Women's Champion Shayna Baszler sometime in the future. The 18th September episode will take place from the Full Sail Live. The show will be aired from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Fans will also be able to watch the episode on the WWE Network the very next day. So far the WWE has not announced other matches for the episode. The WWE wants to compete with AEW TV show that will start airing in October.
