NXT is still considered WWE’s developmental brand, although it has some of WWE’s most famous superstars working for it. NXT also gives its wrestlers more freedom to do whatever they want. That is the reason why some wrestlers prefer to work for NXT and not Smackdown or RAW.
Tyson Kidd is a retired professional wrestler. He retired after he suffered a career-ending neck injury. Tyon started his WWE career at NXT. He was featured on The Bump and he spoke about spending a year at NXT. He was part of WWE’s main roster.
Kidd stated that working for NXT is a career highlight for him. "I'm so happy," Kidd began. "If you take a look back at my body of work in the ring, I'm so happy that I had that NXT run... It sucks that my in-ring career came to an end, but I'm glad that I had that full-year body of work.
My time in NXT was so fun. Those Takeovers were awesome, but when we'd do those tapings, and I would wrestle four times in a night”. NXT is also at war with All Elite Wrestling’s weekly show called AEW Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite and NXT take place every Wednesday night. So far, AEW Dynamite has been able to beat WWE NXT on most occasions. However, WWE NXT is making a comeback and might end up beating AEW Dynamite one day.
