Wade Barrett on His NXT Return

Wade Barrett is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and he recently signed with WWE NXT again. Wade Barrett was a very active and popular WWE superstar. He has fought some of WWE’s very best wrestlers. Although he started his career as a heel, he was still a fan favorite.

His ‘bad news’ character was the one that really captured the attention of fans. Besides that, he was also a very good wrestler and had a great physique.

Wade Barrett on his WWE Return

Wade Barrett, just like many other superstars took some time away from WWE.

Many people actually predicted that he would actually join another promotion. However, that was not the cast. Wade returned to WWE, but is most likely going to be a member of NXT. NXT needs a superstar like Wade anyway, as they need star power in order to beat AEW Dynamite.

Wade thanked the people that supported his return on Twitter. He made his return last week. "Thank you for all of the nice messages about my return to @WWENXT. Crazy couple of days, but I enjoyed it so much, I'll be back for #NXTSuperTuesday next week!

Shout out to @VicJosephWWE, @TheBethPhoenix and @TomPhillipsWWE for taking it easy on the new kid [fisted hand emoji]," Barrett wrote. Barrett appeared as a guest commentator at NXT this week. He was with Vic Joseph and Beth Phoenix, who is a WWE Hall of Famer and almost a permanent member of the commentary team.

Beth is also the wife of WWE Hall of Famer, Edge. Beth was not physically present though due to the COVID 19 pandemic. She called the matches from her home. Wade announced that he will be working on NXTSuper Tuesday episode. Joseph also made a comment about Barrett.

"What a pleasure it was working with @StuBennett on @WWENXT last night! See you all NEXT TUESDAY for an unprecedented #NXTChampionship match - a 4 Way 60 minute #IronManMatch! #NXTSuperTuesday," Joseph wrote. We do not know what WWE has in store for Wade Barrett, who is the former leader of the popular heel group called the Nexus.

At the moment, he is part of the official WWE NXT roster. His bio stated: "Then, after being away from WWE for several years, Barrett reemerged as a color analyst on the Aug. 26, 2020 edition of NXT! As someone who clearly loves the sound of his own voice, Barrett should fit right in on the black-and-gold brand."
