Many WWE insiders, during this pandemic period, have put their hand to various projects, some writing a book, some dedicating hours to training, some rediscovering long-lost hobbies and some struggling in the gym with weights and activities aerobics.
Many during this uncertain period due to the virus that has put the world on its knees for some time, have wanted to push more than ever with workouts in the gym, with WWE athletes like Ali or Rhea Ripley, who in recent months have shown on their social media channels the kind of enviable shape they had achieved, following a balanced diet and doing several hours of the gym a day.
Apparently, former NXT UK champion, as well as former US NXT tag team champion, Pete Dunne, would also have been one of those characters who have been very dedicated to fitness in this pandemic period, with the wrestler he stayed at home for several months, due to the inability to go to work in the US and with NXT UK which has been stationary for a long time.
Thus, the former NXT UK Champion decided to get into better shape. He took to his official Twitter account to show off his new physique.
Update on Pete Dunne
He wrote the following: “I’ve had quite a few mentions saying I’ve lost weight and asking if I’m unwell etc.
I’ve used lockdown to get in the best shape of my life and I’m excited for an eventual in ring return when travel is possible”. It turns out that Pete Dunne is now working as a backstage producer for the brand as well.
The first episode of the relaunch aired on the WWE Network this past Thursday and this is where his new role was revealed. It should be noted that he is still a member of the NXT roster in the United States. However, he has not wrestled since March due to travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thus, when WWE relaunched the NXT UK brand at BT Studios, WWE put him to work in this new role while he’s stuck in the country. He’s slated to appear on next week’s episode of NXT UK as he’ll be doing a segment where he picks the match-ups for the Heritage Cup Tournament.
Dunne was labeled as a NXT UK Producer on new programming that aired this week. You can see a screenshot from the interview below.
