Former WCW brand Halloween Havoc to be seen again on WWE

After 20 years, Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has seen fit to bring back to life one of the most interesting and most original Pay-Per-View (PPV) of the past of one of its rival companies par excellence: the World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

During NXT TakeOver 31, in fact, the company, thanks to the help of Shotzi Blackheart, wanted to communicate to its fans that it will soon be back on-screen with the WWE, the brand that was also made famous by the Turner company: Halloween Havoc.

As very often happened in the NXT rings or in the WWE ones in general, the Vince McMahon-owned company uses the nostalgia factor with its fans, bringing back brands, logos, characters and matches that have not been seen on the Stamford company square since years, also to try to raise the attention and fame on the product offered to fans of the WWE Universe, with names already established in the world of pro-wrestling.

Halloween Havoc returns in late October in WWE

After exactly 20 years from the last Pay-Per-View (PPV) of this name broadcast by Ted Turner's WCW, WWE will return to using the well-known brand of the rival company to bring back interest in the product offered by NXT, with the copyrights of the former competition federation that they have now become family brands after the acquisition and with Cody Rhodes trying in every way to reclaim the logos that his father Dusty also helped to make famous in the 80s and 90s, without being successful.

On October 28th, then, Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will air the first edition of "NXT Halloween Havoc" in the company's history, with green-haired wrestler from NXT's yellow roster, Shotzi Blackheart, who will be the special host of the evening.

At the moment, no matches have yet been announced for the next NXT special event, but it is very likely that as early as the next weekly episode of the company's third roster, WWE will apply some changes to the federation's event card and it is equally likely that the McMahon management will also create something special for the event, such as themed matches or fancy dress contests, to remember the approaching Halloween period that is very much felt in the US.

One expects Halloween Havoc to have a prominent role in these changed plans. We shall soon find out how big these plans are.
