Details on William Regal's surprise news on WWE NXT

In the latest episode of NXT, which aired as usual on the night between Wednesday and Thursday last week, William Regal promised fans of the WWE crime show a historic announcement, which is slated for this week's episode.

After watching helplessly the match between WWE duo champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler against the winners of the first female Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the duo formed by Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, it seems that Regal has not remained completely satisfied with what we saw at NXT and can therefore introduce further innovations in the women's sector of the third WWE roster.

WWE is making some big plans for NXT

If in recent days there had already been talks of a possible introduction of new female couple titles also for NXT, in the last few hours more surprises would have emerged online, which fans could witness in the Wednesday episode of the yellow show of the Stamford company.

According to what was reported in one of the latest Dave Meltzer Newsletters, to the Wrestling Observer microphones, in fact: "We will probably talk about the two nights dedicated to TakeOver, which will be Wednesday and Thursday and the introduction of the Tag Team titles for the women's division.

So these should be the two surprises. "The General Manager of NXT William Regal, in practice, should not only go to present the new female couple titles that will take part in the already rich schedule of the WWE yellow roster but will also have to announce how WWE's next TakeOver, which will air during the week of Wrestlemania 37, will consist of two nights instead of one, just like the Showcase of the Immortals, which will be staged over the weekend instead.

The TakeOver, in this case, should instead go on stage the next 7 and 8 April, in a week full of great wrestling, both for the WWE and for several other companies such as AEW and NWA. Currently, the WWE Women's tag team titles are supposed to be contested across all of the brands - Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT.

However, if separate women's tag titles are introduced on NXT, it could likely lead to the current titles becoming specific for just RAW and SmackDown. The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match on NXT this week came to a controversial end with Adam Pearce interfering to end the match, helping Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax to retain their titles.

NXT General Manager William Regal looked upset with Adam Pearce and we might just see him announcing that NXT doesn't need those titles and introduce the newest edition of the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship.
