The former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill wasn’t very pleased when a reporter asked him if his consecutive knockout losses against Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka would affect his upcoming clash with Khalil Rountree Jr on 21st June at UFC Baku.
The outcome on Saturday night could play a crucial role in gravitating one of them back into the title picture as the current UFC light heavyweight title holder Magomed Ankalaev has been waiting for an opponent ever since Alex Pereira declared that he’s going to take some time to recover.
Khalil Rountree Jr has showcased exceptional striking power and explosiveness in his performances. It will be very interesting to see how Jamahal Hill retaliates to his fighting style this saturday night.
Jamahal Hill on Losing Streak Affecting Him
During a recent press conference, Jamahal seemed to be slightly frustrated when a reporter asked him if the back-to-back losses faced against Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka would impact his upcoming fight.
“Every fight is different; it’s a new fight so that’s a weird question. That’s kind of like a dorky online fan question. So, like I don't really get how that would affect how I am fighting a completely different fighter. I am focused on Saturday and on the task at hand for that”.
