Dricus Du Plessis is aware of the threat that lies ahead and his simple response to everyone asking him the retaliation plan for the vicious takedown attempts is simply:
“This is not grappling or wrestling. This is MMA we’re not fighting for the wrestling title. We are fighting for the UFC title”.
The massive middleweight fight is almost a week away, scheduled to take place on 16th August at the action-packed UFC 319 event. Both fighters are confident of securing a victory, but only one of them will have the privilege of being labeled as the winner.
The backup fighter for this title clash is Caio Borrlaho.
DDP is completely fine with being the underdog for this fight, as he looks forward to shocking the world and proving all naysayers wrong next Saturday.
The biggest headliner is Khamzat Chimaev fighting in the US after a considerable amount of time. He faced some serious immigration problems which further led to visa cancellation. He blames his inactivity on these issues. In the absence of it, he expects to fight more frequently.
‘Borz’ wants to conquer two more belts if he’s successful next Saturday. His eyes are set on the welterweight and the light heavyweight title.
Khamzat Chimaev mimics Dricus Du Plessis’ movement style 😂🥊

UFC 319 Press Conference
The middleweight belt is on the line; the division could have a new winner.
The press conference is scheduled to take place on 14th August. Both fighters will share their first ever face-off in a few from now. Their animosity towards each other isn’t that intense despite going back & forth several times on social media.
DDP has huge faith in his own skillset, which leans more towards striking than wrestling and on the flip side, Khamzat Chimaev is absolutely lethal in both departments.
