Samoa Joe's Return Pleases Legendary Wrestling Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle was on his podcast called The Kurt Angle Show, where he spoke about it. According to Kurt, he is happy to see Joe back in Ring of Honor. Many people believed that Joe would not be able to complete inside a wrestling ring after he suffered from numerous injuries in the past.

“I think it’s awesome,” Angle said. “Samoa Joe, I knew he would come back eventually. He’s not going to retire yet, this guy still has some life left in him and I’m looking forward to seeing what he has to offer to this day”.

Samoa Joe is actually Kurt Angle’s real-life friend. Kurt revealed that his match against Joe at Impact Wrestling inside a cage was one of his favorite cage matches of all time. “For TNA in particular, because I had a better cage match in WWE with Chris Benoit, but with TNA, I would say Samoa Joe was my favorite match because it was an MMA-style match,” Angle said.

“Jeff’s was an immediate second”. Joe was actually having a fantastic WWE career before he was released by the company for the second time in January. He was released about a year ago as well during WWE’s budget cuts after the pandemic.

That was back in April 2021. Joe was released with NXT General Manager, William Regal and Brian James, who is also a WWE Hall of Famer. Samoa Joe was a very famous wrestler even before he joined the WWE. He was well known on the indie circuit and at Impact Wrestling, he fought some of the best stars that they had at the time, including legendary wrestler Sting. Joe is known for performing high risk flying moves which are difficult for a man of his size.
