Lethal on Competing at the MSG

The Madison Square Garden has been home to some of the best WWE matches in history. It is one of the most popular WWE arenas of the world. Not many WWE wrestlers get to complete at the MSG! Only the best wrestlers are allowed to compete at the MSG.

For a long time, wrestlers could only dream about competing at the MSG if they were working with the WWE. Most smaller indie promotions could not afford to hold a show there. Well, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be holding their G-1 Supercard at the MSG, and Jay Lethal will be part of the event’s main event.

Jay Lethal is the current Ring of Honor World Champion and he is a very popular wrestler. He will be fighting Matt Taven and Marty Scurll at G-1. The match will be a 3 way ladder match. Lethal spoke to Tampa Bay about his role at MSG.

"Every wrestler from my generation thought that the only way to work in Madison Square Garden was to work for the WWE or fill out an application to work security," Lethal said. "I get to go there without doing either of those two things...

I feel like my career is like winning the lottery. Everything just seems to go right." Lethal definitely looks very excited and happy about getting the opportunity to perform at the MSG.
