On the July 4th episode of Ring of Honor TV, which you find told with our usual results, Athena and Billie Starkz received bad news when Queen Aminata and Red Velvet interrupted their Minion Empowerment Meeting along with Lexy Nair, announcing that the two will defend their respective titles at the next pay-per-view Death Before Dishonor.

In particular, Athena will be called to defend her ROH Women’s World Championship against Queen Aminata, while Billie Starkz will try to keep her ROH Women’s Television Title against Red Velvet, with the four who in recent weeks have given themselves a little torment during the shows.

Athena and Billie Starkz received bad news

Recently, Athena showed up on the internship with Lexy Nair and Billie Starkz on crutches, claiming to have torn ligaments in one of her two ankles, which would have forced her out of the ring for at least 6 months, but despite this she said she would not give up her Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship.

In the episode after the news, the champion reappeared to let people know that even the number of months of absence had increased, after Queen Aminata had pushed Billie Starkz against her in the episode, hurting the injured part.

This, however, seemed to many an excuse for not having to fight and defend the title, which was fueled by Queen Aminata and Red Velvet, who did not buy the long period of recovery from an injury. For those who were wondering, the injury should be legitimate and not part of a storyline, but probably what is not correct is just the time it takes to heal Athena, with Tony Khan who may have taken advantage of this bad chance to use it in storyline, but if there will be news about it of course you will find everything on our pages.

Unfortunately, currently there is a lot of concern around her and her kingdom that is likely to end due to a leg injury that the champion would have suffered during the last tapings of ROH, as reported by PWInsider.
