Dragon Lee and Rush were recently released by CMLL. According to CMLL, they were not able to follow programming and company guidelines which forced CMLL to release them. According to one report, Lee was not allowed to work PWG Battle of Los Angeles.
He still worked at PWG Battle of Los Angeles, and that got him in trouble. Rush defeated Matt Taven at Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor PPV event. He managed to capture the Ring of Honor World Title by doing that. Dragon Lee also worked at Death Before Dishonor.
He was put in a match with Shane Taylor, Flip Gordon, and Tracy Williams' World TV Title match at the big PPV event. Taylor won the match after pinning Gordon. Lee confronted Taylor after the match. This will probably lead to a match between the two famous superstars in the future.
Lee spoke about Paco Alonso on Twitter recently. Paco Alonso was the former owner of CMLL. He thanked Paco for working so hard for CMLL. Lucha Blog stated that Lee felt like he "gave his body to CMLL, raised their name in other places, and then was fired like this."
According to a report, Lee wanted to stay at CMLL. Dragon Lee and Rush will not be able to use their current ring names when they start to work for indie promotions. “Dragon Lee” and “Rush” are trademarks of CMLL.
