These days, there have been talks on WWE in Japan. Now, there will be an NJPW in America. New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they plan on launching New Japan Pro Wrestling of America. NJPW Chairman, Sugabayashi and CEO Takami Obari spoke about it during a press conference.
They spoke about the phases which led to this new subsidiary. In phase one, they hunted for talent. In phase two, they started doing events in the US. NJPW is now in phase three, in which they will establish NJPW of America. New Japan Pro Wrestling has a twitter account that has been active since March.
Obari stated that live events would be a major selling point of the promotion. They will host events in the West Coast, Texas, South East, East and Mid areas. Here are the tour details: * WEST: 6 cities across 4 states * MID: 7 cities across 6 states * TEXAS: 4 cities * SOUTH EAST: 6 cities across 4 states * EAST: 4 cities across 3 states The tours will take place and the regular NJPW Japanese tours will be placed on hiatus.
If they do run simultaneously, talents’ schedule will be taken into account. At the moment, NJPW plan on broadcasting the American live events. They will air on New Japan World. There will never be a shortage of events according to what was announced during the press conference.
