Mikey Whipwreck on Current Professional Wrestling Landscape

Professional wrestling was WWE and only WWE at a time. They crushed all their competition and became the only real promotion that provided high-quality professional wrestling matches. Many people believe that The Monday Night Wars was the best time for professional wrestling.

The WCW and WWE worked hard to provide the best content to its fans. In the end, it was the WWE that won. Vince even bought ECW, which was another promotion that was led by the legend Paul Heyman. Mikey Whipwreck was an ECW wrestler.

He recently spoke to Wrestling Inc. about the current landscape of professional wrestling. He stated that there is new energy in the professional wrestling industry with the arrival of AEW and the Wednesday Night Wars. "People seem to be excited again.

You have AEW. NWA is doing well. Ring of Honor is doing well as is WWE. When wrestling overall is doing well on a bigger scale, it helps the little guys too. You can see it here as the place is packed," Whipwreck said. "The guys have more places to work and there's more alternatives for the fan.

There's plenty of stuff out there. If you're a wrestling fan and you say you can't find something you wanna watch, you're not looking hard enough." ECW went out of business around 19 years ago. He stated in the interview that he still hears ECW chants.
