Kenny Omega may sign with All Elite Wrestling after his contract with NJPW expires. This is according to a report by Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Radio. Kenny Omega’s contract is set to expire by the end of this month and nothing will be announced at least till February.
Omega announced that he will leave the company during an interview with Tokyo Sports. Meltzer reports that NJPW were upset when they heard the news. They didn’t like the way Omega announced that he will leave the company.
NJPW prefers the way KUSHIDO announced that he will leave the company. KUSHIDO announced that he will leave during a press conference. As noted, NJPW chose to work with Ring of Honor instead of All Elite Wrestling. There is a small chance that NJPW might consider working with AEW, as they don’t want to lose Omega, according to Meltzer.
ROH didn’t want the Young Bucks or Cody Rhodes to be a part of the ROH – NJPW G1 Supercard either. NJPW may sign its future stars under long term deals.
