As has become customary, during the last episode of SmackDown the WWE announced several segments that we will see in the next episode of Raw (that will be aired on 31st May) and advertised the presence of a Superstar who has recently suffered a serious injury: we are talking about The Miz.
The Cleveland wrestler suffered a laceration of the front crusader during the Lumberjack Match against Damian Priest of WrestleMania Backlash, a controversial contest given the presence of... zombies at ringside. The Miz's injury is so serious that it's reportedly prevented him from fighting for several months, effectively sanctioning the first opportunity in the A-Lister's long WWE career.
However, it seems that his absence from the competition will not be felt that much in that of Raw as the Stamford-based federation has announced a segment in which he is expected to be present. It will be a new edition of Miz TV, the talk show of the former world champion, which will see Charlotte Flair and Raw champion Rhea Ripley as guests.
Recall that the two already have an official clash for Hell in a Cell in which the Raw Women's Championship will be up for grabs.
The Miz to make a return on the upcoming Monday Night Raw
In addition to the return of The Miz through Miz TV, WWE has also officially announced an Intergender Match between Shayna Baszler and Reginald.
Already at the end of the last episode of the red show, the Queen of Spades had openly challenged Reginald to a match following the distraction that caused her a defeat in the rematch for the women's couple titles, but now the company has made the dispute official for next Monday.
Finally, the WWE recalled what will be the main event of the evening: a meeting between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston with the place of #1 contender at the WWE Championship held by Bobby Lashley up for grabs, to be exploited for the next PPV of the federation, Hell in a Cell. Hell in a Cell is scheduled for 20th June, 2021.
