Rey Mysterio on what he'd do if his daughter Aalyah wanted to join WWE

One of the most interesting feuds of 2020 was undoubtedly the storyline that initially involved Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio, but which gradually led almost all the family members of the Mexican-born wrestler's family to be protagonists.

Initially, it was Rey's son, Dominik Mysterio, who took part in the feud but at some point, this storyline saw a comparison between the romantic and the trash with the love story between Rey's young daughter, Aalyah Mysterio, and Buddy Murphy, who ultimately decided to join the 'enemy' and betray his former boss/friend out of love.

At some point, however, WWE decided to eliminate this storyline with Aalyah Mysterio who has disappeared into the oblivion of the WWE.

Rey Mysterio's words about his daughter

During the last episode of Ryan Satin's Out of Character podcast, the legendary WWE wrestler talked about Aalyah's future.

Here are his words: "It's funny that you ask me," Rey began, "My wife asked me yesterday how I would have behaved if Aalyah had asked me to want to enter wrestling. I honestly think I would be the first to want to train her and I can't tell her no.

Currently, however, I agree with her dream of becoming a doctor. She is going to college to enter the medical field and I am looking forward to that. Of course, if one day she decides that she wants to totally change and enter this world, I would be the first to support her."

Aalyah Mysterio wouldn't be the first daughter of a WWE legend to enter and fight in the ring as we already currently have Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Simone Johnson and Tamina, all daughters of WWE icons. Speaking of the storyline that also saw the involvement of his daughter, Rey Mysterio commented: "She liked it very much, she acted since she was a child because she had the dream of becoming an actress and my wife took her to perform at a very young age (at eight years old).

Of course, then she walked away and decided to do something else, but we always had the feeling that she was really very good in front of the cameras."
