Recently, we reported on our newsboard the news that the Monster Among Men, recently fired by WWE, Braun Strowman, asking for absurd figures to participate in the shows of the independent federations, from next November, the month in which the non-compete clause of the Stamford-based company will expire.
Apparently, according to several sources, also quite solid web wrestling, the former Universal Champion of McMahon would have asked anyone who had already contacted him, "5 figures", to appear in their shows and therefore we would talk about dozens thousands of dollars, if only for a brief appearance in the independent world.
At the time, no assumptions had been made about which company might have already contacted Strowman, nor what the former WWE giant's request really had been, but apparently, everything would be just an unfounded rumor, at least according to what same direct interested.
Braun Strowman was recently let go by WWE
After reading literally cooked and raw on the various websites involved in this matter, the former Universal Champion of McMahon himself wanted to waste a few seconds to have his say, through a short and effective tweet on his official account of the well-known social network and writing: "Let me be clear, for your information.
I haven't talked to anyone about any type of booking yet. But for anyone wanting to talk business, my agent's email is in my bio. Thanks for all the confusing things you might be reading online." Apparently, not only are the figures requested by the former WWE world champion from his alleged contacts not true, but for the moment, Braun Strowman would not have spoken to anyone about his possible future outside the Stamford-based company so for the moment everything is still quite confused about what we have read in the previous hours and above all about what will happen in the future of Monster Among Men.
Braun Strowman was promoted to the main roster in August 2015 as the newest member of The Wyatt Family. Strowman's large form and intimidating presence quickly turned him into one of the biggest attractions in WWE. He was pushed as a main event star in 2017 when he feuded with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
Braun lost to The Beast in their Universal title match at No Mercy 2017 and it took a while for him to recover from the loss. Braun Strowman went on to defeat WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg for the Universal title at WrestleMania 36 last year.
Unfortunately, Strowman's WWE run has come to an abrupt end and there's no concrete update yet about a potential jump elsewhere. Strowman is reportedly charging a hefty sum for post-WWE independent bookings.
