Roman Reigns sets an incredible WWE record

Since his surprise return to WWE last year Roman Reigns has had an undisputed dominance in the company and especially within Friday Night Smackdown. After winning the title of WWE Universal Champion, the Tribal Chief has annihilated all his opponents, starting from his cousin Jey Uso, who then became his faithful ally until the recent Rey Mysterio, beaten during the last episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

With the help of well-known WWE advisor and Mad Genius, Paul Heyman Reigns changed his character and became one of WWE's most dominant athletes in recent years. For years WWE Universe fans hoped for this transformation but no one probably imagined such clear dominance and the wrestler has beaten opponents of the caliber of Kevin Owens, Edge, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro.

The latest news on Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns won the WWE Universal Champion title in the last edition of WWE PAYBACK, a match that saw him triumph in a Triple Threat Match against Bray Wyatt The Fiend and the now-former WWE star Braun Strowman.

These days Roman Reigns has completed an important record reaching 300 consecutive days as Universal Champion and his current reign seems far from stopping. This is the second-longest Universal Championship reign ever in WWE and the record is held by The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar who has been in command for 503 days, even over a year and a half in a row as a champion.

Also as regards the overall days as champion Roman Reigns is second and at 364 days he remains distant compared to the 686 days of the overall three reigns from Brock Lesnar's Universal Champion. In the last episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns was to celebrate the confirmation of the title together with his trusty Brock Lesnar but he suffered the strong and vehement attack of Edge, back in vogue after months of absence with his return after Wrestlemania 37 and the defeat against the Tribal Chief.

Two of the biggest stars on WWE's current roster are Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The former Shield brothers have been at the top of the WWE mountain for many years now. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have worked together and against each other on multiple occasions in WWE.

However, in all those cases, Roman Reigns was a babyface. With him turning heel, the WWE Universe is eager to see Rollins face The Tribal Chief in what would be an exciting feud for sure.
