Wrestling legend Terry Funk has been battling health issues

During the pro-wrestling history of the last 50 years, there have been several great personalities who have made the discipline famous and thanks to their careers pro-wrestling has become famous in every corner of the United States, but also in every corner of the planet.

In the last half-century, to enter the legend of the discipline, as well as in many Hall of Fame of the main companies, there have been many athletes, such as Ric Flair, Antonio Inoki, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan and many others, but only one of them has managed to make history in the world of hardcore, in every single federation in which he has set foot, becoming the true undisputed king of the no-hits part of each category.

We are talking about the great Terry Funk, legendary icon of the extreme world of pro-wrestling, who in his career boasts dozens of calls in the most disparate Hall of Fame, including those of WCW, WWE, NWA as well as named ECW World Champion for life by Paul Heyman in 1997, for his huge contribution to the Philadelphia extreme federation.

Unfortunately with age, Terry Funk has also suffered several physical setbacks, due in part to his long career in the rings all over the world.

Now almost 80 years old, Terry Funk suffers from a fairly advanced form of dementia, as stated by one of his most historical colleagues, Don Muraco.

In the latest episode of his personal podcast, Don Muraco's Magnificent Podcast, the historic WWE athlete revealed: "Speaking of Japan, I heard that Terry Funk is at home, debilitated by dementia. Yeah, I talked to Scott Casey over the weekend and I think he's always in Amarillo Texas.

So I don't know. I know your wife died two or three years ago. I don't know who he's with now or what's going on." For the moment there is no other news on the health conditions and the situation of the daily life of the legendary ex-wrestler, now decidedly debilitated by a tiring, demanding and very hard life as only a few other legendary wrestlers have carried on for years.

WWE legends like Mick Foley, John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), and Mickie James tweeted in respect of Terry Funk. "Terry Funk is the greatest wrestler I have ever seen. No one made it easier to believe than The Funker," tweeted Mick Foley.

"People posting pics of the Texas Legend Terry Funk-idolized him and then got to tag with him and rode the roads with him-love me some Terry Funk! Wish him the best health and happiness!", tweeted JBL.
