After more than a year of absence, actually almost a year and a half, the WWE Universe audience will return to the WWE shows. It started at Friday Night Smackdown and later continued in the Pay Per View of Money in the Bank and there is great anticipation for what awaits fans of the world's leading wrestling company.
In recent weeks, with the return of WWE on tour and the public in the stands, several rumors have arisen about sensational returns and one of the most frequent rumors concerned the possible return to WWE of The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.
The wrestler has been absent from the WWE and in general from the wrestling world since he was defeated at Wrestlemania 36 against Drew McIntyre and from that moment there have been several rumors but he has never really returned to WWE.
With the return of the public there was talk of an imminent return of him but in reality things are not so simple. For some time there has been discussions about his possible match for WWE Champion against current champion Bobby Lashley, but the reality sees that this meeting is not at all in WWE's plans.
The fact that Bill Goldberg's return to Monday Night Raw is imminent in a way confirms these rumors and, barring sensational twists, Goldberg and Lashley will compete at SummerSlam.
New details on the potential feud between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar
During the last episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, the well-known colleague Dave Meltzer explained the missed match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar.
Here are his words: "There has been much talk about this hypothetical match but the challenge has always been denied. The reality is that, even in the event of a return at the moment, Brock Lesnar would only return for a very limited period and therefore in a titled match he should lose.
This situation means that WWE wants to keep the wrestler on standby in view of the feud against Roman Reigns starring also Paul Heyman and consequently avoids this meeting because a defeat would burn the status of The Beast."
Drew McIntyre will seek retribution when he clashes with Bobby Lashley for Monday Night RAW's top title at WrestleMania. The Scottish Warrior lost the WWE Championship to The Miz at Elimination Chamber after he was attacked by Lashley.
The Hurt Business member went on to attain the championship from The Miz on the red brand a few weeks ago. If McIntyre manages to recapture the title, it will be a very joyous moment for him since it will happen in front of crowds.
