Is Harry Smith ready to return to WWE?

Several times we have heard how, on the occasion of the return of the public and the return on the road, in WWE there is this internal feeling of wanting to propose a new product, with many novelties and many new faces. In this regard, several dark matches have been organized in the last few weeks that have served as real auditions for various NXT talents, including Karrion Kross, Bronson Reed, Xia Li and many others.

Some of these have already made their debut on the main roster, like Shotzi and Tegan Nox, others just have to wait for their moment to take action, like Toni Storm and Aliyah, and, in the latest episode of SmackDown, Finn Bàlor returned to SmackDown after another stint in the black and gold brand.

But, apparently, among the news that Vince McMahon wants to present to the public, there is also an unexpected return of a fighter who has not been seen in the WWE rings for 10 years. There is talk of Harry Smith, already known to fans of the Stamford-based federation as a member of the Hart Dynasty under the name of DH Smith.

"The British Bulldog" son Davey Boy Smith was approached by WWE several months ago but this week, prior to the airing of SmackDown, he fought a dark match in which he teamed up with Austin Theory to defeat Odyssey Jones and Xyron Quinn.

Latest news on Harry Smith

Following his match, WWE posted an interview with Harry Smith on their YouTube channel in which the descendant of the Hart family clearly reveals that he is back. According to PWInsider, Smith actually signed a contract with the McMahon-owned company and would be effectively part of WWE.

According to the same source, this contract would have been signed even in March, but it was preferred to wait for the right moment to make it known to the public. No further details about Harry Smith's deal are currently available, nor are there any known plans to use him.

DH Smith was part of the WWE from 2006 to 2011 and made his TV debut as a member of the Hart Dynasty alongside Tyson Kidd and Natalya. Paired with Kidd he has twice won the duo titles and after his WWE adventure he has been successful in several companies such as MLW, New Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know, hopefully I will be around wrestling for a long time to come so it could happen in the next ten years, but I honestly don’t know. I would like to see Owen get inducted, but I don’t think that will happen, his wife Martha would no way agree to it and I understand thats her deal and she’s entitled to that”.
