Former WWE star reflects on Goldberg

Goldberg returned to the television screens in the post-Money in the Bank episode of Raw, with the intention of launching the challenge to WWE champion Bobby Lashley. Although the WWE Universe has repeatedly criticized WWE's choice to bring veterans back, Vince McMahon has continued to adopt this strategy to facilitate ticket sales.

It is known that Bill has a contract with the Stamford federation until 2023, which includes a couple of matches per season. The WWE Hall of Famer had already wrestled once this year at the Royal Rumble when he bowed to Drew McIntyre.

Goldberg had defeated The Fiend last year to win the Universal Championship for the second time in his career, but he had only handed it over to Braun Strowman in WrestleMania a month later. Also in 2019, there were only two matches: the disastrous clash with The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia and the one with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.

Bully Ray opens up on Goldberg

During the last edition of 'Busted Open Radio', Bully Ray explained that Vince McMahon really likes Goldberg's look and never misses an opportunity to use it at certain times of the season.

"WWE fans are back in the arenas recently, there is a lot of excitement in the air, Goldberg is a Hall of Famer. This is why they decided to bring him back to the ring, they want to squeeze the most out of him as long as possible.

Vince McMahon loves it, it's no mystery. Although he is now of a certain age, Bill still goes to the gym and keeps fit, he looks phenomenal. Vince is crazy about that kind of thing, that's why he gives him so many opportunities,” Bully Ray analyzed.

In the last part of Money in the Bank, we also witnessed the return of John Cena. The 16-time world champion has started a feud with Roman Reigns which should lead all the way to SummerSlam. The leader of the 'Cenation' has already launched the challenge to the 'Tribal Chief', but the intervention of Finn Balor risks turning the tables on the table.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg made his return to WWE on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. Since the return of fans back into the arenas, WWE has tried their best to bring back as many big names as possible, Goldberg and John Cena, to name a few.

Current WWE champion Bobby Lashley issued an open challenge on RAW, which was responded to by the returning Keith Lee, who lost to Lashley.
