Triple H discusses Vince McMahon's attitude

Vince McMahon was forced to make controversial decisions in his long career at the top of WWE. Even during the pandemic era, it was not easy for the Stamford company to follow up on their shows amidst so many restrictions and the burden of empty arenas.

The audience has been back live for about a week and it is hoped that the return to normal will not suffer abrupt interruptions. Nonetheless, the harsh consequences of an unprecedented situation have imposed a series of drastic cuts on the federation.

In 2021 alone, around thirty superstars and numerous behind-the-scenes insiders were released. On June 26, comedian Donnell Rawlings posted a backstage photo of a Dave Chappelle show that portrays him with Vince McMahon. The WWE boss is known for being a private person who rarely makes appearances outside the business context.

In a recent interview with the 'New York Post', 14-time world champion Triple H explained that his father-in-law is a huge fan of Chappelle. “Just like the rest of the world, we also find Dave Chappelle incredibly funny and we're huge fans of him.

There was a rare opportunity to go and see him in our city, we could take a break from work at that moment and we took the chance. We all agreed that it was the ideal day to attend one of his live shows” - said Triple H.

Over the years, countless superstars have expressed their views on Vince McMahon, whose personality remains shrouded in mystery. "He is a normal human being" - replied Triple H. “His character - as he has been portrayed through various sources - is only partially true.

In fact, Vince is a very reserved man. That night of Chappelle's show we took a lot of photos with a lot of people, but the only one that came out was the one with Rawlings. The same thing happens when he goes to a concert or other events”.

Speaking to Pro Wrestling Defined’s Jonathan O’Dwyer, DiGiacomo said his son appeared on WWE television at Extreme Rules 2014. Vince McMahon spoke to the child backstage before realizing that DiGiacomo was standing right next to him.

“Vince looks up at me from being down on one knee,” DiGiacomo said. “He says, ‘You must be the father?’ I said, ‘Yeah, Vince, you recognize me?’ He’s like, ‘Ah, yeah, you look so familiar.’ So I made the Jameson face, like this [cross-eyed], and he freaked.

Big hug, lifted me off the ground, ‘Oh my God!’. Telling me, ‘I’ve gotta take you around. There’s still people here on TV from when you were here. They’d love to see you. Oh my God!’. ”
