X-Pac On the Rock Backstage After Rumble 1999

Professional wrestlers aren’t as heartless as some might believe. They know their responsibility in the ring to keep their opponent safe! One bad move can seriously injure the wrestler taking the move. Back in the old days, wrestling matches could get really brutal.

Some wrestlers actually feel really bad after inflicting punishment on another wrestler! The Rock is actually a very sensitive person. He appears very cocky and insensitive when he is in character, but in reality he is not.

The Rock is still quite humble, even though he is one of the biggest action movie stars on the planet. X-Pac shared a backstage story that involved The Rock. He shared it on his X-Pac 1,2,360 podcast. The Rock came backstage after a very long and brutal match against Mick Foley, known as Mankind at that time.

It was an ‘I Quit’ match where one competitor has to quit in order for the other to win. The Rock hit Mankind multiple times with a steel chair. "I remember talking to The Rock and I remember him being really disturbed afterwards," revealed Waltman.

"He was not digging what just happened and not digging that he had just done that." The match happened at the Royal Rumble 1999 event and many fans still remember those 15 clean chair shots that The Rock landed on Mankind’s head!
