AJ STYLES & OMOS VS VIKING RAIDERS (ERIK & IVAR) for the Tag Team Championship titles Erik and AJ Styles leave, but the latter, after the first blows suffered, breaks and immediately gives the change to Omos with the giant that dominates.
Upon returning from advertising Omos traps Erik in a submission and change maneuver for AK that blocks the opponent. Change for Ivar who reacts and blocks a possible change between the opponent. The two seem to work well together but AJ kicks in and manages to change Omos.
The giant attacks both opponents, tag for AJ Styles which ends with a Springboard 450° Splash and opponent back. AJ Styles and Omos remain champions! After what happened last week, Drew McIntyre comes in and Jinder Mahal enters next week along with Veer and another man in a suit and tie.
Jinder berates the audience for cheering on Shanky last week and tells Drew McIntyre to apologize. The former champion thinks about it but obviously refuses after the audience choirs.
AJ Styles and Omos defended their Tag Team Championships
AJ Styles and Omos defended their WWE RAW Tag Team Championships against The Viking Raiders again this week.
The babyfaces isolated Styles early and kept the pressure on for some time. Erik leveled Omos outside the ring and The Viking Raiders nearly put Styles away before Omos made the save. After some top moves throughout the contest, AJ hit a springboard 450 splash and picked up the win.
DREW MCINTYRE VS VEER Drew seems to have the advantage but Jinder pretends to hit him and distracts the opponent, Veer tries to attack him but it doesn't work. Jinder passes a chair to Veer but CLAYMORE with the chair with Drew landing opponent.
Veer is expected to win by disqualification but WWE announces The Scottish Psychopath as the winner. At the end of the match Drew stares at the lawyer (the man in a suit and tie) and hits him with the Claymore too! After the match, Styles took out Riddle with a Styles Clash to make a loud and clear statement.
WWE is building towards a rivalry between The RK-Bros and the RAW Tag Team Champions. Randy Orton will need to return soon if the creative team is heading in that direction for WWE SummerSlam. WWE could be returning to Saudi Arabia with live events as soon as October 2021.
Moreover, WWE has a contract with Saudi General Sports Authority where it’s supposed to run two events every year for a ten-year span. WWE signed the deal in 2018. The last WWE event in Saudi Arabia was the 2020 Super ShowDown.
Following that, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a global lockdown which resulted in travel restrictions and the cancellation of all types of sporting events.
