WWE officially announced that its relationship with ring legend Ric Flair has been severed. The company's confirmation came after the news had already been given by two wrestling news sites, Fightful and Wrestling INC. Obviously, as always, speculations began on the possible reason for this departure, with some confirmation that he and the management had various creative differences.
This thing was also evident during the last storyline that had brought the Nature Boy to appear on the screens of the WWE, alongside the beautiful Lacey Evans who then had to temporarily withdraw because she was pregnant.
In fact, he and his daughter Charlotte had clearly expressed their discomfort for this storyline and the unwillingness to work together, but not out of hatred, simply to be able to detach Charlotte from her father.
Ric Flair has reportedly been released from WWE
One of the members of the famous Four Horsemen, he took a few minutes of his time to leave, on his Instagram account, a message to all the fans after the news of his dismissal from WWE came out.
This is what he wrote: “I am officially able to respond to all news related to my request for release from WWE, which they granted me. I want to make it clear to everyone that I'm not mad at WWE at all. They are solely responsible for putting me in this life position that I am in now, where I am seen in the brightest spotlight ever.
We have a different vision for my future. I wish them nothing but continued success! Thanks for everything! Nothing but respect!" So it seems confirmed if we read through the lines a little, that between Ric Flair and the Stamford-based company there was a problem of vision of the future projects of man, who in any case already has a certain age and many health problems.
Who knows if Ric will officially retire or show up elsewhere. Unfortunately, the last thing we'll remember Ric Flair for in WWE is screaming "call me daddy" after Lacey Evans announced her pregnancy. That's definitely not the way a WWE Hall of Fame career should end.
Considering that Charlotte Flair's fiancé Andrade El Idolo is in AEW, as well as some of the Four Horsemen, we're wondering if The Nature Boy could be on his way to the company. If so, what would Flair bring to the table? What kind of storylines can we see emerge should Flair join All Elite Wrestling?
