WWE confirms its huge plans for SummerSlam

Even the last episode of Friday Night Smackdown aired in the night, has now passed to the archives, with several important characters who have been fundamental for the continuation of their storylines, such as the WWE Hall of Famer Edge and its current bitter enemy, Seth Rollins or the reigning champion of the blue show, Bianca Belair, who would have recently rekindled her long feud with the returning Sasha Banks.

After what was seen at Smackdown tonight, in fact, WWE would have confirmed two new great matches for the company's summer Big Four, which will air on August 21, from Las Vegas, where fans of the WWE Universe will once again have the obligation to wear a mask in closed and/or crowded places.

SummerSlam is arguably WWE's second-biggest show of the year after WrestleMania. WWE has huge plans for this year's SummerSlam, with reports even indicating that Vince McMahon wants to make it a bigger show than WrestleMania 37.

The pay-per-view is set to take place on August 21st from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

WWE SummerSlam 2021's status is seemingly in doubt

In the first SummerSlam contest that arose tonight from the episode of Smackdown, we saw Edge challenge to a match of the most anticipated PPV of the summer, none other than Seth Rollins, an athlete who has already attacked him several times in recent weeks and who will thus suffer the wrath of the Canadian federation, right in the most anticipated event of the summer and even of the year according to many insiders of the company.

After reminding him that he had knocked him out two years in a row from the Royal Rumble, Edge called his opponent "Edge lite", which sent Rollins into a rage, who eventually accepted the Hall of Famer challenge.

for next August 21st. In another segment of the blue show, however, Bianca Belair accepted the challenge of her bitter enemy Sasha Banks, reminding her of having already beaten her at Wrestlemania for the title at stake. Apparently, we will therefore have a rematch of the Showcase of the Immortals in Summerslam, with the title of champion of the blue show up for grabs between the two challengers.

But now let's see the rest of the card currently made official by the WWE for the ppv of the next 21st of August: - Roman Reigns vs John Cena for the Universal Title - Bobby Lashley vs Goldberg for the WWE Title - The Usos vs Rey & Dominik Mysterio for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles - Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women's Title - Nikki ASH vs Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women's Title - Edge vs Seth Rollins.
