The WWE as you all know well by now has been back on the road several weeks ago and with this step wanted to give several surprises to the members of the WWE Universe who have reached it on board-ting in all the weekly episodes of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, after months and months of shows without an audience, if not the virtual one, arrived thanks to the ThunderDome built by the McMahon-owned company.
In recent weeks, we have not had any major drastic changes on the blue show rings, all the titles have in fact remained with their legitimate owners and the storylines have continued as if nothing had happened, in view of the most anticipated summer Big Four of the moment: Summerslam.
The feud that is igniting the public the most at the moment, seems to be that between John Cena and Roman Reigns, who got a new update this night, but the sensational blow that WWE wanted to give to its fans, was a titled change for the Intercontinental Champion belt that arrived just tonight, with Shinsuke Nakamura being crowned the new champion after the reign of Apollo Crews, who was becoming increasingly anonymous.
In the latest episode of the blue show, there was a showdown between the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura and the show's reigning Intercontinental title champion, with both of their minions, Rick Boogs and Commander Azeez, who were obviously alongside their favorite at ringside.
Shinsuke Nakamura triumphs on SmackDown
Needless to say, both aides of the evening were eventually excluded from the match due to too much interference, with the referee of the dispute vehemently sent them backstage, leaving the match and its fate to Nakamura and Apollo.
In the end, with a well-placed Kinshasa, it was enough for Nakamura to pin his opponent to become WWE Intercontinental Champion for the second time in his career, with his previous reign standing at 201 days in 2019, when to beat him.
none other than Braun Strowman had thought of it. The match between Corbin and Nakamura was a hard-hitting affair, with the momentum of the match swinging like a pendulum. However, towards the end of the match, it looked as though Corbin had the advantage and was edging towards a victory.
Unfortunately for King Corbin, a timely distraction from Bugez allowed Shinsuke Nakamura to steal the victory. The WWE Universe seems happy with this new association and would be interested to see how far Bugez and Nakamura can go as a team.
