A few days ago, SummerSlam was staged, what was considered the company's event of the summer and which certainly met the expectations of the WWE Universe. This event not only featured prominent matches like John Cena vs Roman Reigns or Bobby Lashley vs Bill Goldberg but also saw the return of superstars such as Becky Lynch and especially former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
The Beast Incarnate appeared in a crazed crowd at the conclusion of the Main Event between Roman Reigns and John Cena and launched an extraordinary challenge to the current Tribal Chief and WWE Universal Championship of the federation of Vince McMahon.
Many have wondered both before and after this WWE choice why it went in this direction rather than in the challenge for the WWE Championship between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. The All Mighty has repeatedly stated that he would have liked to challenge Lesnar and many fans have also been waiting for this challenge for some time but once again the WWE has opted for different ideas.
The reasons for the WWE choice of Brock Lesnar
During the last episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, the well-known colleague Dave Meltzer clarified why the match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley will not take place and was not in the WWE programs: "One of the reasons WWE opted for Bill Goldberg and not Brock Lesnar against Lashley is because they didn't want The Beast to be defeated.
Then he will not always be present and giving him the title of champion immediately could be a contradiction that delegitimized Lashley. I believe that for this reason, the company decided this while, at the age of 54, a defeat by Goldberg was considered quite acceptable."
Brock Lesnar is back with a whole new style in the company, a new look with hair for some 'Viking' and a physique that is always very lean and strong. There is a lot of curiosity about the feud between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns also to understand the behavior of Paul Heyman, the former manager of Lesnar who's now an advisor to the Tribal Chief of the WWE Universe.
While there were many downs in his second WWE run, an association with MVP led to Lashley achieving what he always deserved — the WWE Championship. Bobby Lashley's title win earlier this year made him the second superstar in pro wrestling history to have won the WWE, ECW, and TNA/IMPACT World Heavyweight Championships.
