The summer of wrestling fans was completely turned upside down by the release of the StarzPlay show "Heels," a wrestling family drama set in Georgia. Stephen Amell plays Jack Spade who represents a heel in the local federation that was created a few years earlier by his father who sadly passed away.
Opposing his story is that of his brother, the actor Alexander Ludwig. The two brothers deal with different things in their lives in and out of the ring, trying to carry on with the work their father had created. But obviously, the two will have to manage many challenges that come from the outside world.
Becky Lynch is considered the female version of Stone Cold Steve Austin and has taken the WWE Universe by storm since her breakout turn from last year. Like Austin, she was meant to be a heel but got over with the crowd. The Man went on to win the 2019 Royal Rumble and has challenged Ronda Rousey for the WWE RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 35.
Since then, she has tangled with Vince McMahon, HHH and Stephanie McMahon leading to Charlotte being added to the match. The recently-concluded WWE SummerSlam event featured Seth Rollins vs. Edge, an excellent match from which the latter emerged victoriously.
At the pay-per-view, Edge paid tribute to his time with Christian and Gangrel in The Brood by using the faction's theme song and entrance.
Becky Lynch and Edge could appear in a movie
Speaking with Collider, Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig talked about several things about this new show which was released on August 15, 2021, on StarzPlay, where you can subscribe via app, browser or Apple, Amazon Prime Video or MediasetInfinity.
Towards the end of this interview, the two were asked if there were any wrestlers who would like to make an appearance on the show in the future, perhaps for a second season if it is successful. The two respectively replied: Ludwig: “I prayed to Adam Copeland.
He is a friend of mine and one of the greatest heels of all time. He is in the Hall of Fame. I leaned heavily on him in preparation for this. He was Edge. I was like, 'Adam, man, we're going to have you on the show. We would be so lucky to have you.
"So hoping it goes on, I'd like him to come." Amell: "Give me Becky Lynch, I'd love to have Becky Lynch on the show." The two certainly have come up with two very interesting names of two people who, in addition to having experience as a wrestler, have also already starred in some TV series, for example, we remember that Edge was in Vikings, but also Becky Lynch, also ste was a stunt double. Most recently we saw her in The Marine 6 and also Billions.
