A few days ago in the most anticipated Pay Per View of SummerSlam, WWE brought back to the ring the returns of Brock Lesnar and one of the female stars, Becky Lynch. The wrestler arrived to replace the absent Sasha Banks and immediately won the SmackDown women's champion title against Bianca Belair.
In the next episode of Friday Night Smackdown, a titled feud between Becky and Bianca could then begin. It was also reported that the management of USA Network, a channel that broadcasts Raw, appeared quite annoyed that both Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch were added to the blue brand's roster.
During the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast Andrew Zarian made it clear: "There are little problems with the NBC and US guys and the fact that SmackDown is now full of talent."
Backstage news on Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch arrived as a replacement for Sasha Banks after the announcement that The Boss would not be attending the summer event.
Andrew Zarian revealed that the company's initial plans regarding Becky were different but the wrestler would still, in her way, participate in SummerSlam. Here are his words to the microphones of Mat Men Pro Wrestling: "I was told that the finale wasn't supposed to be that at all, she had to participate in SummerSlam and come out in front of the live audience, it wasn't a last-minute surprise but the surprise was the title change.
All this was not foreseen, it was an update and we will see in the next SmackDown where we end up." Andrew Zarian also reported that WWE's TV network partners NBC and USA Network, which broadcast Monday Night RAW in the United States, aren't so thrilled about the news.
“There’s a little bit of an issue with NBC and the USA guys and the fact that this SmackDown roster is really stacked now,” said Zarian. WWE SmackDown is flourishing at the moment with names such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Edge. With Becky Lynch's return to the show, the blue brand will be unmatched.
