Will Paige's contract expire next year?

Will Paige's contract expire next year?

There are several WWE Superstars who are still under contract with the WWE, even though they haven't appeared on the federation's televisions in months, some even years. Before his release, one of these cases was also that of Bo Dallas, who remained in the locker room and backstage of the WWE for almost two years, then receiving the famous pink letter from the company, with which he was fired.

One of the other very famous names that would still be under contract, even a little inexplicably with the WWE is that of Paige, former champion of NXT and of the main roster of the company, who's stopped wrestling struggling because of a bad neck injury suffered in a match against Sasha Banks a few years ago.

After her retirement which now seems definitive from the WWE rings, Paige dedicated herself first to being General Manager and then as a manager, with the last commitment that saw her active in WWE which was the one alongside the Japanese Kairi Sane and Asuka, now several months ago.

New details on Paige's status

After dedicating herself to co-hosting WWE Backstage alongside Renee Young, Booker T and CM Punk, in several episodes of the now-canceled FOX broadcast, Paige would now land on Twitch, where she received WWE approval to broadcast live video.

personal, unlike all the other athletes still active in the McMahon rings. In one of these lives, there was talk of the end of Paige's contract with WWE, with fans who were convinced that the expiration date of this agreement was 2023, but it is not.

In one of her latest streams of her, Paige said: "My contract ends in June of next year. Who knows if they will want to offer me another one? Who could say they want to do it? If they do, I would like Twitch to be part of the contract." Apparently, now, the live streams of the beautiful WWE Englishwoman are said to be very popular, with the company even putting a clause for them on her new contract.

However, Paige hasn't worked anywhere for WWE in weeks and weeks. During her first main-roster year, Charlotte Flair held the Divas Championship for 196 days before the title was retired at WrestleMania 32. At the same event, she won the newly introduced WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat match against Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks.

By contrast, Paige did not compete in any WWE matches between June 2016 and December 2017 due to a neck injury. The injury forced her to retire from in-ring competition in April 2018.
