Brock Lesnar made his resounding return to WWE at SummerSlam, the pay-per-view staged in Las Vegas on August 21. After an absence of over a year, the former world champion showed up in the ring at the end of the main event between John Cena and Roman Reigns.
The Beast stepped in to challenge the 'Tribal Chief', before crashing down on poor Cena with an avalanche of suplexes and F-5s. WWE will host the next episode of Smackdown in New York's iconic Madison Square Garden, an event that will be attended by tons of world-class superstars.
There will also be John Cena and Brock Lesnar, who will return to the blue show almost two years after the last time. During the latest edition of 'Smack Talk' on Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell analyzed what could be Paul Heyman's role in the feud between Reigns and Lesnar.
“I think Paul Heyman can be instrumental in the storyline between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. It could be the reason for the defeat of one of the two athletes. We will see how Heyman behaves in the coming weeks” - explained Mantell.

Brock Lesnar's return sent the WWE Universe into raptures, having occurred just days after CM Punk's resounding debut in All Elite Wrestling. The leader of the 'Cenation' praised the Stamford federation for the way they set up SummerSlam, thanks also to the presence of fans in the arena after a year and a half of suffering.
"The atmosphere at SummerSlam was truly incredible, there was that unmistakable buzz before the bell rang. I got chills at one point. The final surprise - with the arrival of Brock Lesnar - was the icing on the cake, no one expected it and people could hardly believe what they were seeing.
The moments that leave the audience speechless are the most beautiful but also the rarest,” said the 16-time world champion, who has now become a Hollywood star. At the 2021 Summer Slam, Roman Reigns successfully defended the Universal title against John Cena in a dream match.
However, Reigns' celebration was cut short by the unannounced return of former Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Since Paul Heyman was the former manager/advocate of Lesnar, tensions have been rising in The Bloodline and Jimmy & Jey Uso suspected that Heyman was aware of The Beast Incarnate's return.
Even though Heyman pleaded that he did not know anything about Lesnar's return, the Usos were not convinced. However, judging from his actions on the last episode of SmackDown, Reigns seems to completely trust Heyman and considers him to be a part of the family.
